Metamorphosis dreams are when characters change sex, identity, age or morphs into an animal. I thought a beauty editorial would be the best way to represent this notion of shifting identity as makeup is transformative, an art form that allows MUA’s to morph into many different characters. I reached out to MUA’s from all around the world to collaborate on this project, sending out a quarantine dreams (from the dream logs) to each MUA, challenging them to interpret it however they liked and respond with a make up look. I got an amazingly positive response, many excited to be part of something that was utilising lock down as a source of creativity during lockdown.
